Status of Fabula Nova Crystallis Projects

Famitsu interviewed Tetsuya Nomura, Takeshi Nozue, and Kazushige Nojima regarding the release of Advent Children Complete, however, they also had some things to say about the Fabula Nova Crystallis games.

Final Fantasy XIII
- Voice acting is nearly complete

Final Fantasy Versus XIII
- Roen has completed the design of the characters' costumes.
- The coolness will be like nothing before(I think this is refering to the costumes)
- The cosumes are very difficult to recreate in game due to the materials used(whoa talk about detail).

Final Fantasy Agito XIII
- Four character designers are working on the game because of the massive number of characters in the game.

Agito definitely not- it was originally supposed to be for future cell phones (the Japanese have more advanced phones than most of the rest of the world does, so it actually would have looked good) and is now going to be for the PSP. As such, it would take a lot of work to make it look good on a home console.

Versus has been stated many times to be a PS3 exclusive, and that statement was reiterated after XIII went multiplatform. I think there's a 95% chance that it stays PS3-exclusive. I'm only throwing taking off that 5% because I never thought that XIII would go to the 360.

Well, as long as it doesn't take until late 2012 for versus xiii to come out, I'm fine with them perfecting the details: xiii is bound to take all my attention until then.

I do understand, though. I'd rather the game comes out earlier and the clothes look really cool instead of outrageously realistic and later. I'm hardly likely to be near a PS3 when it comes out as it is, so the earlier, the better. Oh well... What are you gonna do? All I gotta say is that if they're spending all this time on clothes, every detail better be perfect. I want no bugs in this game. None at all. Even if it means coming out later. Bugs should be more important than details, so they better not rush it out and screw up the game.

I have a feeling the Final Fantasy XIII series is going to be the biggest blockbuster of all Final Fantasy games. And it'll be worth the wait.

Not sure if I want Versus' development progress hindered by converting clothes into CG. They may be extremely cool designs, but cool enough is enough.
